An elephant in its natural landscape

A responsibility we share

Beauty is a beginning.
Care is what follows.

Our photographs should leave something good behind.
A deeper understanding. A little more respect. Room for wildlife.

Our conservation commitment

The welfare of wildlife
comes before the photograph.

WildHeritage Lanka is a community built around a simple principle: the way we observe and share wildlife matters. We welcome people who want to document nature with patience, care and respect.

01

Leave room for the wild.

Stay at a safe, respectful distance. Never chase, crowd, bait, feed or disturb an animal to make a photograph.

02

A photograph, not a location pin.

Exact wildlife locations, live sightings, nests and sensitive habitats are never part of our public gallery.

03

Look carefully. Share thoughtfully.

Photographs and captions are reviewed before publication. We remove sensitive metadata and check for visible location clues.

04

Give every creator their credit.

We respect photograph ownership. Contributors must hold the rights or explicit permission to share their work.

05

Facts deserve the same care.

Our species guide links to credible sources. We avoid invented population numbers, unverified incidents and claims of impact.

06

Care without causing harm.

A wildlife concern needs the right response. Keep a safe distance and contact the responsible authority using official channels.

Good intentions. Considerate actions.

Carry care into the field.
