Be a considerate observer.
- Keep a safe distance and allow animals a clear route to move away.
- Never feed, bait, touch, chase, surround or attempt to handle wildlife.
- Respect wildlife officers, park rules, barriers and access restrictions.
- Keep noise low and do not disrupt nests, dens, young animals or breeding behaviour.
- Take litter with you. Leave the habitat as you found it.
- Choose patience over proximity. Stop photographing when an animal appears disturbed.
When an animal appears injured or trapped.
Stay at a safe distance. Do not move, treat or attempt to release the animal yourself. Keep other people and pets away, observe only from a safe place, and contact the responsible wildlife authority privately.
A photograph is optional. Do not approach an animal, enter a hazardous area, or delay contacting officers to document the scene.
Share carefully.
Avoid public posts showing live animal locations, exact coordinates, sensitive habitat details or reporter identities. Give necessary location details directly to responsible officers through official channels. Do not post unverified allegations or encourage members of the public to gather at the site.
